The population of females in the world is estimated at 4,058,360,359, or 4,058 million, or 4.06 billion, representing 49.72% of the world population. The world has 45,251,855, or 45.25 million, more males than females.

The world has more women than men aged above 50. In the age group 60-64 years, there are six fewer men per 100 women. Women outnumber men by a ratio of 2-to-1 in the age group 90-94 years and 4-to-1 for centenarians.
