As per the report of the Technical Group by the National Commission, the population of Himachal Pradesh is projected to be 7,518,000, or 7.52 million, or 75.18 lakh, as of July 1, 2024. Himachal Pradesh is the 20th most populous state in India. Himachal Pradesh’s population is projected to reach 77.9 lakh in 2036.
The size of the population of Himachal Pradesh is equivalent to that of Hong Kong, which ranks 104th in the world.
In 2024, the sex ratio of the total population in Himachal Pradesh will be 102.875 males per 100 females. There are 3,812,000, or 3.81 million, or 38.12 lakh, males and 3,706,000, or 3.71 million, or 37.06 lakh, females in Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh has 106,000, or 106k, more males than females.
