Australia is the richest economy in Oceania, the only economy having a per capita GDP above $50,000. The next three, New Zealand, Palau, and Nauru, have a GDP per capita of more than 10k US dollars. Solomon Islands is the poorest economy in Oceania.
In 2025, Tonga and Samoa will surpass Tuvalu in nominal ranking. Only two economies are within the top 50 world GDP per capita rankings.
Out of 14 economies, GDP (nominal) per capita of 13 economies would increase, and one economy would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. Palau will add $1,179 in 2025, followed by the Marshall Islands ($978).
In PPP data, Australia and New Zealand have a GDP per capita of above 50k Int. dollars. Five economies would have per capita GDP above Int. $10,000. None of the Oceanian economies is in the top 20 richest economies globally, and only two economies are within the top 50 world GDP per capita rankings. There will be no change in PPP ranking in 2025.
Out of 14 economies, none of the Oceanian economies would see a decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. Australia will add Int. $2,079 in 2025, followed by New Zealand (Int. $1,431).
