List of North American countries by GDP per capita

The United States is the richest economy in North America, followed by Canada. These two have a GDP per capita of above 50k US dollars. Sixteen economies would have a per capita GDP above $10,000. Haiti is the poorest economy in North America.

In 2025, Costa Rica will overtake Trinidad and Tobago to become the 10th richest economy in North America. Only the United States is in the top ten richest economies in the world, and five economies are within the top 50 world GDP per capita rankings.

Out of 24 economies, GDP (nominal) per capita of 23 economies would increase, and one economy would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. The United States will add $3,354 in 2025, followed by Barbados ($1,278) and Costa Rica ($1,198). Mexico is the sole decliner.

In PPP data, the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico have a GDP per capita of above 50k Int. Dollars. Costa Rica will overtake Antigua and Barbuda in 2025. None of the North American economies are in the top ten richest economies globally. Five economies are within the top 50 world GDP per capita rankings.

Out of 24 economies, the PPP per capita of 23 economies would increase, and one economy would decrease in 2025 compared to 2024. The United States will add Int. $3,454 in 2025, followed by Aruba (Int. $2,175). The only decliner is Haiti.
